Our Family
Who we are and what we believe
We are John and Dana Eisenstein. We have two children, Simon, age 10, and Evelyn, age 8. Neither of us come from a farming background, but were drawn to it by our passion for great food and our experience that such food was difficult to find since so few farmers were producing food in a way that would make us want to eat it. We believe that wholesome, nutritious food is the birthright of all humans—indeed, of all life—and that food works best within a local community and enmeshed in a web of personal relationships. We take our responsibilities as farmers both seriously and joyfully and are convinced that a small, diversified family farm such as ours has a central place in today’s world.
